Comfortable room, friendly staff, with the room being lovely and warm for a chilly evening and the breakfast in the morning being equally good.

We explored local attractions and enjoyed relaxing in the lovely gardens. The staff were super friendly, and our room was clean and comfy. Dinner was a highlight-with a fantastic fish menu. Perfect spot for a getaway!...  

We just came back from a lovely two-night stay where the breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh local produce! The garden area was perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee. The sun terrace had such a nice vibe. One small thing was that the pub menu had a few items priced a bit high, but it didn't ruin the overall great experience. 😊

Had a lovely stay in a Deluxe King Room where the comfy bed made it hard to leave! The gorgeous garden was perfect for relaxing with a drink and the sun terrace offered a nice spot to unwind. The only hiccup was that we had to ask for extra towels, but it didn’t put a damper on our enjoyable visit. 😊

Cozy room, lovely staff, we appreciated the express check-in and the delicious breakfast offered with fresh ingredients.

Not a single complaint.

The atmosphere was relaxed, perfect for hanging out. Just a heads-up , the service can be a bit slow during busy times, so plan accordingly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an instance where our reservation wasn't ready upon arrival, leading to a frustrating start to our evening. We had to ask multiple times for updates on our food, which took way too long.

lovely stay but not quite perfect

The overall decor and ambiance were excellent. The spaciousness of my Superior Room and the excellent power shower in the bathroom were highlights of my stay.

The room view was slightly disappointing.

We felt at home at the crown! Our beautiful room was super comfortable, and the hotel grounds were lovely to stroll around. The staff were attentive. We enjoyed the peaceful ambiance.

The beautiful grounds were the highlight of our stay! 🌺 The room was comfy and spacious, but the shower temperature was a bit unpredictable.

I stayed for two nights and was impressed by the serene atmosphere and beautiful grounds. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff provided really good service this visit much better than my previous one....  

Lovely countryside escape!

Spent 3 nights in a cozy room named Mistley, really enjoyed the huge comfortable bed and the power shower was a nice touch! The outdoor beer garden is beautifully set up. Had a fantastic meal with tasty flavors, but the pricey cheese platter seemed like a rip-off. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout!

Really good service from the staff made our stay nice.

We were disappointed that our room had not been adequately cleaned before our arrival.

I appreciated having such a good pub nearby to relax in after walking through beautiful Dedham Vale AONB, and the friendly staff made every moment enjoyable .
